Introduction
The Citizen’s Network is very important to the Australian economy and ecology. There are approximately 26,713,205 citizens living in Australia as of May 2024. The workforce is approximately 64.10% of the population, although 889,800 of this value are underemployed as part-time staff. With such a large number of workers in the labor force precipitates the need for a just, fair and safe Australia. This need is paramount to the continued success of our great country.
The only way in which our workers can maintain high levels of intelligence, health and wellbeing, and fulfill all personal, work, financial, and social needs, is for their workplaces, and their general living environments to be protected by legislation, codes of conduct, and ethical policies and procedures. These protocols can only exist in an environment where citizens know their rights and responsibilities, and they actively protect them. Careful vigilance is paramount. And our tools are working knowledge of Human Rights, Workplace Rights, Consumer Rights, and their enforcement through mediation, litigation, and Whistleblowing
Psionic Community is invested into assisting and assuring that our Australian Community has within its fingertips the means in which to protect and safeguard its community. We do this through knowledge and understanding of Whistleblowing.
Therefore, the purpose of this section is to provide you with the most up to date information, and to provide you with the means to use the valuable tool of Whistleblower Psionic Community to protect yourself and your family, anywhere in Australia, be it work or play.
What is Whistleblowing?
Whistleblowing is the activity of a person, often an employee, a supplier, or other stakeholder who reveals information about wrongdoing and crime through Disclosure. The Whistleblower is a person who reports a private or public organization who performs illegal, immoral, illicit, unsafe or fraudulent actions. Whistleblowers use a variety of internal or external channels to communicate information and/or allegations to various Agencies in order to protect the rights of the individual and the business itself. Some of these protections to the enterprise and individual include policy and legal education, investigation procedures, prosecutions, and other legal means of correction the wrongdoing. Every employee, supervisor, manager, officer, and director of an enterprise deserves a safe, healthy, stable, and civil environment in which to live.
Whistleblower also have rights. Their rights include safety and security and the right to report (Disclose) wrongdoings. There are penalties for organizations and individuals that breach Whistleblower’s rights. These include different civil and criminal penalties for a corporation and for individuals. The maximum civil penalty for corporation carries the greater of $13,750,000, or 3 times that amount, or 10% of the annual turnover of the entity up to a maximum of $687,500,000. The government is currently working on a compensation system for Whistleblowers which will encourage citizens to step forward and disclose.
Whistleblower Psionic Community Citizen’s Network teaches the informed citizen what to look out for, how to report, and gives them a secure pathway to Whistleblower for their safety as a consumer, and as a workplace employee.
Did You Know That…
Within the last five years amendments to our existing laws regarding government and corporate responsibility for encouraging and assisting staff Whistleblowers. The amendment to the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and Taxation Administration Act 1953 (Cth) reflect changes to corporate and organizational responsibilities. These changes provided for an expanded corporate whistleblowing scheme and a new tax affairs whistleblowing scheme which was commenced just before the COVID-19 outbreak. Public companies and large proprietary companies had until 1 January 2020 to implement a compliant whistleblowing policy. The scope of the amendment affects “regulated entities” in the corporate, financial and credit sectors and should be viewed as top priority. the net result means that any organization that doesn’t have an active Whistleblowing System is at risk. What it means to you, as a citizen, is that you have a tool by which you can micromanage and control Australian business and government, through watching over our operations and insisting that business maintain natural justice, procedural fairness, respect for persons, and perform their responsible duty of care through business ethics.
